Health Service Provider Profiles
The WWLHIN has 79 Health Service Providers (HSP’s) that provide a specialized array of health care services, including: acute hospital care, long-term care, community support services and addiction and mental health services. Each provider is dedicated to serving the health needs of local residents and ensuring they receive timely access to the highest quality care.
In addition to having many different HSPs, the LHIN spans 4,800 square kilometers. Collectively, local HSP’s serve more than 730,000 residents from four major urban centres, as well as many smaller rural communities. In fact, 90% of the WWLHIN’s geographic area is rural.
Recognizing that it’s not always easy to know about all of the health services available in a community, or to live or work in Guelph and know what services are available in Wellesley, the WWLHIN is profiling the services of its health service providers to help residents and health care workers better understand what services are available across the WWLHIN.
The profiles explore services available, how they can be accessed, new programs in development, and what local residents enjoy most about the care they receive.
